There are 34 genera of mosquitoes worldwide. There are 2968 types of Rasu in these 34 genera. There are only 16 genera and 249 mosquito species in our country. Although there are so many mosquitoes in our country, generally only 35 to 40 mosquito species in 4 genera (Anopheles, Culex, Aedes and Mansonia) act as disease vectors.


 Life Cycle of Mosquitoes :





Mosquitoes belong to the class of arthropods. Mosquitoes rely only on water to breed and breed, requiring two different media, ie mosquitoes. All three major stages in its life cycle from stable egg, larva and larva are in water. After that, they emerge from the water as mature mosquitoes and survive on land. 2. Mosquito Larvae :

Mosquitoes float on the surface of the water. Mosquito larvae develop and molt three times. That is, the mosquito that emerges from the egg is called the first stage, then the mosquito larvae that emerge after the first molting are called the 2nd stage, the mosquito larvae that emerge after the second moult are called the 3rd stage, and the mosquito larvae that emerge after the third moult mature into the final stable 4th stage. This 4th stage adult mosquito molts and metamorphoses into a maggot. This transformation takes 6 to 7 days.

The head and thorax in the mosquito are formed together (Cephalothroax). The abdomen with 10 segments connected to the head and thorax is slightly curved.


Like mosquito larvae, hookworms often come to the surface of the water to breathe outside air. Then they breathe through the mouthpieces in the cephalothorax.


The mating season is a very important season. Because it is during this season that the most important changes occur according to metamorphosis. It is only after this transition that the larval stage in water develops into an adult mosquito that can live on land or land. This is called complete metamorphosis.


. The caterpillar does not consume any food. After two days, a split appears in the body of the mated worm and the adult mosquito emerges through the split.


4.Adult mosquito morphology :




. First, the male mosquitoes come out soon after the breeding season is over and the female mosquitoes fly together in a large group for mating. This is called Inachokaki dance.


Such swarms of flying mosquitoes are mostly seen only at dusk. After mating, female mosquitoes bite humans and animals and suck blood.


Male mosquitoes complete their life on plant food for 7 to 10 days but female mosquitoes drink four drops of blood every two days and lay 80 to 150 eggs in water. They fly at night and search for prey.
